[Harley Quinn]

A well done piece. I don't like the face. It looks very... odd. The nose, mouth, and brow look wrong to me. I'm a piss poor artist so I have trouble putting my finger on it. Something just seems off. The pose is neat. Unless the Hammer is paper mache that is a truly unrealistic way to hold it. But as a whole the piece is far superior to anything I could make. I do like the subtle background. Good job.

I hate to say it, but it's not that good. Simple. over saturated colors, filtered to crap. Kind of lost. The imagination is there, but the execution needs work. The transparent layers might have worked better if each "planet" was transparent to each other giving a tripy depth, but instead they are solid to each other and the three circles are transparent to the background. It looks like one of those Toddlerteething toys on a cheap Zebra print towel than "X Planet". I do like the attempt at a special effect with the lines going in another direction, but it comes of garbled. In short you should practice and keep at it. I'm sure good things will come from you.

You could have just linked to the pic but nooooo! I had search through all your art (Not an unpleasant task mind you, just tedious) to find this pony. Ok first off, top notch concept. Few things that bug me. 1) the background looks more like Grandma's wall paper rather than a hipster background. Perhaps if it was wall paper in the brony coffee shop? this leads me to 2) character weight, Normally this would be fine but the background screws with the perspective and it looks weird, even with the shadow. Just looks really off to me. 3) You copped out on the cutie mark. You could have come up with something better than a font text. Other than that really solid piece.

You know, I have to both agree and disagree on that last point. I wanted to do a cutie mark that would have been fitting, like the ponies have, bu at the same time it was one of those "Mainstream" things that I think a hipster would avoid. But to really top it off though, I cannot leave the mark out completely since that is such a signature of the MLP universe. So I went with him only having a cutie mark "Ironically"

I noticed you took down those other pieces. Good for you! This is what I was talking about. A solid attempt. A few things: just trying to be helpful mind you. Anatomy, yes even cartoons have some form of anatomy. Even if you were going for the big head look,the head is just too big. the arms are not too bad so I'll leve them be. The legs are too short and no knees. This could use some shading and character weight. Don't worry I have trouble in these areas as well. The Character's right arm (viewer's left) has some uncolored space. I like the background though it could stand some fine tuning. All in all a good attempt. I hope to see more from you.
